1. Kingston was founded in 1692 as a place for survivors of the earthquake that destroyed Port Royal.

Even with the many opportunities for business, the resort area of Kingston is also known for cultural, educational, and leisure options. There are arguably more museums, dining and nightlife, and event options than anywhere else on the island.
4. It has the largest botanical gardens in the Caribbean. At 2,000 acres, Hope Gardens is home to many indigenous plants as well as the Coconut Museum, Sunken Gardens, Orchid House, Lily Pond, Maze, and Palm Avenue. A true must-see.
5. For some of the city's best ice cream, pastry, gourmet cuisine, and Jamaican gems, visit Devon House, one of Kingston's favorite historical mansions. Simply delicious.

Said to be Bob Marley's favorite place to go for peace and connect with nature. Cane river falls is absolutely beautiful and spiritual... it's not too far from the capital, but it is a bumpy ride into the mountains... Soooooo worth the trip

A breezy restaurant and bar is here and a hilltop pool with panoramic views of Kingston,(you feel like your on top of the world, nestled in the clouds) lush gardens, and ample relaxation space. Strawberry hill is absolutely breathtaking... You feel the energy of nature pouring life into you, talking to you, whispering in your ear, its sounds of plant, flowers growing. The air is crisp and clean, flowers so beautifully bright. Its a place you visit over and over again.

I also spent a day at Jencare skinfarm. That is a definite "do" while in Kingston, the spa offers Sooooooo many different pampering services... There is also a cafe on the premises, where you can have a glass of wine or chardonnay in the garden and enjoy authentic Jamaican cuisine.
